KU (14-15 overall, 2-10 Big 12) has lost four straight, while the 22nd-ranked Longhorns (21-12, 9-3) have won six straight.
Game times are 7 tonight, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at Hoglund Ballpark.
UT is tied with Baylor for the league lead, while Kansas brings up the rear.
Texas' strength is its pitching. The Longhorns boast a team earned run average of 2.71 -- second in the league behind Baylor's 2.35. Kansas ranks last with a 5.60 team ERA.
KU likely will play this weekend without senior left fielder Doug Dreher, who suffered a jammed wrist in the Jayhawks' 6-5 loss at Arkansas on Tuesday. He will be replaced by freshman Matt Tribble.
After this weekend, the Jayhawks will play host to perennial national power Wichita State on Wednesday, then hit the road for eight straight games.
