A Lawrence artist is seeking his two Italian glass mosaics, which apparently were stolen from a downtown Lawrence coffee shop.
Two glass pieces, on display at La Prima Tazza, 638 Mass., were noticed missing Wednesday, said David Loewenstein, the artist who made them.
Loewenstein had been displaying his artwork since late February at the coffee shop. The two pieces were seen Wednesday morning but weren't there the next day, he said.
Police have been informed about the apparent theft. It didn't appear there was a break-in at the coffee house, Loewenstein said.
Anyone with information about the missing sculptures was asked to call police at 832-7650 or La Prima Tazza at 832-2233.
