Mass of Christian Burial for Geraldine P. Willis, 77, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Willis died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at her home.
She was born March 5, 1924, in Chicago, the daughter of James and Catherine Sampey Mullin. She moved to Lawrence in 1968 from Palatine, Ill.
Mrs. Willis had been a real estate agent for Haverty & Hatfield Agency and volunteered for Lawrence Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for many years.
She had served on the parish council, adult initiation and as a Eucharistic minister at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She had also participated in a Bible study group at the church.
She married Charles G. Willis on March 4, 1961, in Chicago. He died Jan. 13, 1983.
Survivors include a son, Bruce ROverland Park; two daughters, Karen Dovin, Tinley Park, Ill., and Nancy Zimmerman, Lenexa; a sister, Virginia Mullin, Oak Park, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A parish wake service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials in her name to American Cancer Society, sent in care of the mortuary.
