Winchester Services for Eva Mae Wright, 77, Bonner Springs, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Winchester United Methodist Church. Cremation is planned, and inurnment will be in Carlisle (Ky.) Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam.
She was born June 17, 1923, in Carlisle, Ky., the daughter of Charles Isaac and Edna (Pickett) Myers. She graduated from Winchester High School in 1943 and attended cosmetology school in Wichita. She moved to Bonner Springs in 1989, and had lived previously in Amsterdam, Mo., Warsaw, Mo., Collinville, Okla., and Winchester.
Mrs. Wright owned and operated Eva Mae's Beauty Shop in Winchester for 13 years, and she had also owned and managed a beauty shop in Collinville, Okla., for two years.
She retired in 1967.
She married Carl Wright on June 1, 1967, in Winchester. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Linda Wright, Shawnee; four stepsons, Richard Wright, Parkville, Mo., Jimmy and Daniel Wright, both of Olathe, and Donald Wright, Hardy, Ark.; a grandchild; six stepgrandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church.
