Private graveside services for Ava Mary Lathrom, 83, Lawrence, will be Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Lathrom died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 27, 1918, in Rayborn, Mo., the daughter of John and Mary Jane (Carter) Ellis.
Mrs. Lathrom worked for Hallmark Cards for 25 years.
She married Viles Ransom Lathrom on March 27, 1934. He died Aug. 2, 1990.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Lathrom, Lawrence; four daughters, Bernece Landau and Judy Palmer, both of Overland Park, Bonnie Greer, Kingsville, Mo., and Mary Grammer, Lawrence; a brother, Arley Ellis, Springfield, Mo.; a sister, May Coffman Hayes, Springfield, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to March of Dimes, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
