Ottawa The Philadelphia Flyers lost a chance at a win, and might have lost Keith Primeau for a while.
Alexei Yashin scored late in the third period to lift the Ottawa Senators to a 3-3 tie with the Flyers on Monday night, and Primeau will be sidelined for at least a week with a sprained left knee.
Primeau, Philadelphia's second-leading scorer, was injured after a hit by Chris Phillips in the third period. He was to be re-evaluated Tuesday after an MRI.
"I could feel the swelling immediately," Primeau said. "He was just trying to keep me from going to the net. I caught a rut and I got pushed. At that point, I just let go."
With the tie, Ottawa reached the 100-point mark for just the second time in team history and moved one point ahead of the idle New Jersey Devils for first place in the Eastern Conference.
Daniel Alfredsson and rookie Karel Rachunek each had a goal and an assist for Ottawa, which is 3-0-1 in its last four, and 5-1-1 in its last seven.
"We played a very good hockey game tonight," Yashin said. "It's not like we expected to win. The game was a tie (but) we played a great hockey game."
Justin Williams, Kent Manderville and Paul Ranheim scored for Philadelphia, which snapped its two-game losing streak and moved within six points of the Devils for first place in the Atlantic Division.
Sami Salo, one of Ottawa's special teams leaders, was caught in the mouth with a high stick from Philadelphia's Rick Tocchet in the opening minutes. Tocchet picked up a double minor on the play.
Salo returned, but later left with a mild concussion and is listed as day-to-day.

Raleigh, N.C. Patrice Brisebois had his first two-goal game of the season as the Montreal snapped Carolina's three-game home winning streak.
The Canadiens, in last place in the Northeast Division, beat the Hurricanes for the second time in 12 days at the Entertainment and Sports Arena to improve to 7-0-0-2 in the series the last nine meetings.
The Hurricanes remained two points ahead of the Boston Bruins for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Each team has seven games remaining.
Craig Darby and Martin Rucinsky also scored for Montreal.
Sami Kapanen and Martin Gelinas had goals for the Hurricanes, and Carolina captain Ron Francis had one assist to move within one of tying Paul Coffey for third on the NHL's career list with 1,135.
Sabres 4, Thrashers 0
Atlanta Miroslav Satan scored two goals and Donald Audette's first goal for Buffalo came against his former team as the Sabres beat Atlanta. It was Audette's 33rd goal of the season and first in five games for Buffalo, which acquired him five minutes before the March 13 trade deadline. Dominik Hasek stopped 19 shots for his 10th shutout of the season for the Sabres, who have won six of seven and allowed just two goals in their last four games.
Oilers 4, Blue Jackets 2
Edmonton, Alberta Daniel Cleary set up Eric Brewer's tying goal, and then scored the go-ahead goal less than five minutes later as Edmonton beat Columbus. Mike Grier and Anson Carter also scored for the Oilers, who won for only the second time in six games following a franchise-record nine straight victories. Edmonton has 87 points, which matches last season's total and ties the Oilers with the Vancouver Canucks for fifth spot in the Western Conference.
Kings 0, Sharks 0
Los Angeles Felix Potvin needed to make just 15 saves, and Evgeni Nabokov stopped 27 shots as Los Angeles and San Jose skated to a tie. The shutout was Potvin's 17th of his career as the Kings extended the Sharks' winless streak to six games. Nabokov's shutout was the sixth of his career. It was the fifth scoreless tie for the Sharks in their 10-year history, and their second this season. The Kings have played 10 scoreless ties. San Jose is three points behind Edmonton for sixth place in the Western Conference playoff race, while the Kings edged within a point of idle Phoenix for the final spot.
