Mrs. Hey died Monday, March 26, 2001, at her home.
She was born in Patterson, N.J., the daughter of Christine (Holics) and Jacob Kuntz. She attended school in Patterson, N.J., and graduated from Central High School, Patterson, N.J., in 1936. She moved to the Baldwin area in 1947.
Mrs. Hey had been a member of P.E.O. and Baker/Baldwin Needlecraft Club, and was a 50-year member of Rebekah Lodge. She was also active with local Girl Scouts, helping run day camps, and was a founding member of Valley High Council of the Girl Scouts. She was also a volunteer at Baldwin Care Center and Dr. Jones' office.
She married Lester Hey on May 15, 1942, in Patterson, N.J. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Duncan, Albuquerque, N.M., Sharon Minkes, Los Angeles, Calif., and Sally Meador, Checotah, Okla.; a son, Bob Hey, Baldwin; and 10 grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Baldwin, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to Anna Hey Scholarship Fund, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin 66006.
