Hiawatha Services for Stephanie Drury Mills, 39, Topeka, formerly of Hiawatha, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha. Interment will be in Hiawatha Cemetery.
Mrs. Mills died Monday, March 19, 2001, in a Topeka residence. Topeka Police are investigating her death as a homicide.
She was born Jan. 15, 1962, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Woodward and Ruth Marie (Foster) Drury.
The family lived in Kansas City until Mrs. Mills was 7 years old, when they moved to Hiawatha. She attended Hiawatha schools. She later lived in Kansas City before moving to Topeka six years ago.
In recent years Mrs. Mills worked as a dietary aide at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She married Ron Mills in July 1996. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Tracie Cook, Lawrence; five brothers, Ed Scott, Steve Drury and Woodward "Zoe" Allen Drury, all of Hiawatha; Robert Drury, Lawrence; and Gerald Drury, Lenexa; and two stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will greet them from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
The family suggests memorials to the Children's Miracle Network, sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, 519 N. First St., Hiawatha 66434.
