Prairie Village Services for Ruth Ann (Nelson) Armstrong, 70, Overland Park, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at The Colonial Church of Prairie Village, 7039 Mission Road. Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Armstrong died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 27, 1931, in Ord, Neb., the daughter of Albin Nelson and Anna Margaret Koll.
She worked with the Girl Scouts as a troop leader for 15 years. She was a member of the Johnson County Genealogical Society for 25 years, as well as of The Colonial Church and the Alden Guild. She also worked as church board secretary.
Survivors include her son, Scott B. Armstrong, Overland Park; two daughters, Gayle B. Larkin, Lawrence, and Jill C. Sullivan, Westwood; and six grandchildren.
A daughter, Apryl Ann Armstrong, died earlier.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf.
