Brian Kuklick passed for 202 yards and a touchdown as Orlando clinched the XFL's Eastern Division title with a 17-12 victory over New York/New Jersey on Sunday. The Rage (7-1), coming off a 31-6 loss in Los Angeles, gained homefield advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
Orlando's Brian Shay returned the opening kickoff 95 yards to the 1, and Derrick Clark plowed in for the touchdown on the first play from scrimmage.

Chicago John Avery rushed for an XFL-record 170 yards and scored two touchdowns as Chicago beat Birmingham. Avery scored on a 73-yard run on the first play from scrimmage.
