4-3 DANCE GROUP TO BE AT LIED CENTER

The Mark Morris Dance Group will perform at 8 p.m. April 3 at Kansas University's Lied Center.

Along with receiving a MacArthur Fellowship Genius Award, Morris cofounded the White Oak Dance Project with Mikhail Baryshnikov, who performed at the Lied Center in October 2000.

Considered among the most innovative and influential choreographers working today, Morris is renowned for his diversity of style and his acute musical sensibilities.

He has worked with renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma and choreographed dances for many ballet companies, including the San Francisco Ballet, the Paris Opera Ballet and the American Ballet Theatre.

The performance is part of the Lied Center of Kansas New Directions Series and is sponsored by Hill's Pet Nutrition Inc.
