Patrik Elias scored two goals and New Jersey tied the NHL's fourth-longest winning streak by beating Vancouver 4-0 on Friday for its 13th straight win.
The streak matches runs by the Boston Bruins in 1971 and Philadelphia Flyers in 1985, and moved the Devils within four of tying the league record, set by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1993.

Raleigh, N.C. Sami Kapanen scored two goals and Ron Francis had three assists to lead Carolina to its season-high fourth straight win. Alexei Kovalev scored his 42nd of the season on the power play with 12:41 left as Pittsburgh rallied from a three-goal deficit to tie it 3-3. But Kapanen scored the go-ahead goal with 7:15 left, and Marek Malik added an empty-net goal with 9.9 seconds left.
Panthers 4, Capitals 1
Sunrise, Fla. Pavel Bure scored twice to extend his goal-scoring streak to seven games as Florida beat Washington. Greg Adams also had a pair of goals for Florida, which snapped a six-game losing streak to the Capitals. Peter Bondra scored for Washington, which lost its fifth straight game. Florida's Roberto Luongo stopped 38 shots for his 11th victory.
Stars 2, Islanders 1
Dallas Brett Hull scored the tiebreaking goal late in the second period to lead Dallas over New York. Hull snapped a 1-1 tie with his 38th goal of the season, a wrist shot from the left circle that beat Islanders goaltender Chris Terreri on the stick side. He has eight goals in his last five games and 648 for his career, seventh on the NHL's career list.
