— Cory Bailey struck out four in two shutout innings as the Kansas City Royals beat a Los Angeles Dodgers split-squad, 5-4, in 10 innings Thursday.

Bailey, a non-roster invitee, earned the victory and is 2-0 with a save, while allowing just two hits, no runs and striking out 12 in seven innings this spring.

Endy Chavez led off the Royals' 10th inning with an infield single and advanced to third on Dave McCarty's double. Raul Ibanez's sacrifice fly won the game.

The Royals trailed 4-2 entering the ninth, but scored a pair of runs off Jose Nunez to tie the game. Jon Nunnally opened the inning with a single, moved to third on Mark Quinn's double and scored on A.J. Hinch's single. Quinn scored the tying run when Luis Ordaz grounded into a double play.
