Plenty of phrases, like, bug people

So, like, The Dallas Morning News recently asked people what overused catch phrases annoy people 24-7, y'know?

And, boy, did they open a floodgate.

For everyone who thinks trendy slang is cute, there's someone for whom it's the fingernail scraping on the blackboard of conversation.

They found: Many people hate "Not!" and "Duh!" and a lot of folks can't stand "full plate."

Others dislike it when store clerks and food service employees say "No problem!" after someone tells them "Thank you." Isn't that their job? Of course it should be no problem.

And one of the most-hated phrases: "Been there, done that!"

One woman surveyed said, "(It's as if) he/she has already 'been there, done that,' and moved on to something grander than I'm about to experience. Also, it's a terrible conversation-ender; not much left to say when the (person) has implied he/she already knows it all."
