Nashville, Tenn. Alan Jackson had eight nominations to lead the list of contenders for the TNN Country Weekly Music Awards.
Martina McBride and Chely Wright, both from Kansas, also were nominated for awards.

Jackson was nominated Monday for best entertainer, male artist, album, single, song, collaborative event and music video.
He also was nominated for the Impact Award, for having an impact on the presence of country music in films, advertising or soundtracks.
Winners will be announced June 13.
The show is one of three country music awards programs each year and the only one in which fans vote on the winners.
