ATCHISON Services for Charles D. Robertson, 75, Atchison, were Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church, Atchison. Burial was in Trinity Episcopal Memorial Garden.
Mr. Robertson died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at his home.
He was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Lawrence, the son of Charles and Joe (Ellis) Robertson. He attended Kansas University and took executive management courses through IBM as well as several American Management Assn. business courses.
Mr. Robertson served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had worked at Robertson Lumber and Manufacturing Co., Topeka. He then worked for the Long-Bell Lumber Co. and became manager of Little Rock, Ark., branch office.
He also had worked for Cuckler Building Systems and Conrad-American Inc. He retired in 1983.
He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where he had served as treasurer, vestry member and lector. He had served as director of Metal Buildings Manufacturers Assn., and as director and chairman of the Monticello Development Corp. He was also a member of American Management Assn., Farm and Industrial Equipment Institute and National Agriculture Marketers Assn.
He married Doris Doane on Feb. 9, 1947, in El Dorado. She died in 1989. A son also died earlier. He married Donna Berridge-Bosse on Oct. 17, 1990, in Burlington, Iowa. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Ann McCullough, Strawberry Point, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Faye Bosse Trotter, Atchison, and Sara Sevcik, Salt Lake City; a stepson, Frank Krenning Bosse Jr., Effingham; four grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Trinity Episcopal Church, the Mount St. Scholastica Academy or the Benedictine Sisters of the Mount St. Scholastica Convent, which may be sent in care of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home 208 N. Fifth St., Atchison 66002.
