KDHE creates Web site for birth, death information

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment's Center for Health and Environmental Statistics has created a new Web site with information on births and deaths in Kansas.

According to KDHE, Kansas Information for Communities is an Internet-based interactive vital statistics data system that will allow local health departments, researchers and the public to obtain summary data on births and deaths in the state.

Birth information in the database covers 1990 to 1999, while death information is from 1990 to 1998. Mortality data for 1999 will be added to the system when completed.
