Online travel agency lays off most employees
An online travel agency beset by market woes has laid off more than 80 percent of its employees, while keeping a skeleton crew and looking for new funding or a new buyer.
The agency, iTravel, has missed payroll twice and says it needs $2 million to $4 million. Executives told their 93 employees Friday that a plan to raise additional capital failed, said chief executive Steve Harmon.

Wagle announces cancer is in remission
State Sen. Susan Wagle announced Friday that her cancer is in remission.
Wagle, R-Wichita, attended the first Friday session in the Senate chamber in two months. She has been absent because of weekly treatments in Wichita.
"I got the all-clear last Friday," she said.
Wagle has low-grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
