The Douglas County Trailriders met March 2 at its clubhouse.
Johni Budenbender, president, called the meeting to order. Sandy Gilliland, recording secretary, took roll and read the last meeting's minutes.
The club voted to replace a broken furnace. The club discussed plans for its annual open house next month.
Delbert Skinner presented a demonstration on saddle and tack cleaning.
The next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. April 6 in the clubhouse at 816 N. 1750 Road.
The Lawrence 99er Duplicate Bridge Club's March 7 game was stratified and directed by Don Brennaman.
The North-South winners were led by Harry Talley and Don Daugherty, followed by Barbara Hamilton and Bill Hamilton. Frances Vogel and Dorothy Arth placed third, followed by Judy Bevan and John Gilbert. Kittye Hagen and Vera Mingos placed fifth.
East-West winners were led by Harriett Olson and Artie Shaw, followed by Linda Randall and Linda Swain. Sara Jane Zimmerman and Julia Ward placed third, followed by Martie Hartman and Bobbie Figgins. Michael Green and Albert Edmonds placed fifth.
