Retreat offered for Catholic men
Kansas City, Kan. Men Under Construction, a retreat for Catholic men, will be March 31 in the Savior Pastoral Center in Kansas City, Kan. This year's theme is "Developing Your Blueprint for Life."
Jesse Romero, a former Los Angeles deputy sheriff and competitor in boxing, martial arts and other contact sports, will talk at 9:15 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Five breakout sessions will be offered and Sharayah, a Topeka musical group, will perform. A celebration of the Eucharist will be offered at 4 p.m.
Cost is $25 per person before March 23, and $30 per person after that. High school and college students can register for $15 a person.

St. John's service offers time to reflect
St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1234 Ky., will have Parish Recollection Evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and March 26 at the church.

The 11 a.m. Sunday liturgy will be interpreted in American sign language for hearing-impaired people.

Church to broadcast leadership seminar
Tecumseh Highland Heights Christian Church, 2930 S.E. 29th St., will be a simulcast site for a seminar led by John C. Maxwell, author of "Developing the Leader Within You" and "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership."
The seminar, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. March 24, will be broadcast to more than 1,200 churches. Registration is at 7 a.m.
