ESU's Bloss named to all-academic team
Emporia State senior basketball player Emily Bloss, a Wellsville High School product, has been selected as a Verizon Academic All-American.
Bloss, the MIAA's top scorer at 20.6 points per game, finished her career with 1,915 points to rank fourth all time at ESU.
She has a 3.95 grade-point average in health promotion.
Tongie names Parker
Former Lawrence High assistant Tiffany Parker has been named head volleyball coach at Tonganoxie High. Parker, who played collegiately at Kansas University, will be Tonganoxie's fourth head volleyball coach in four years.
