Basehor Services for Clifford A. Wilhite, 77, Linwood, will be 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Basehor. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery near Basehor.
Mr. Wilhite died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at his home.
He was born Jan. 7, 1924, in Livingston County, Mo., the son of James Francis and Myrtle Irene (Haas) Wilhite.
Mr. Wilhite retired from the Teamsters Union in 1983. After retiring he raised cattle and farmed.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Basehor.
He married Ruth Lawson. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Dennis, Bonner Springs, and Tom, Baldwin; five daughters, Ruth Ann Bigge, Stockton, Mary Sue Smith and Marcia Zimmerman, both of Holton, Diana Sowers, Spring Hill, and Donna Keck, Stilwell; three brothers, Chester Wilhite, Bill Christison and Bob Christison, all of Chillicothe, Mo.; two sisters, Joan Brune, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Martha Weyh, Arkansas; 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Basehor.
The family suggests memorials to the church or the American Heart Assn., which may be sent in care of Alden-Harrington Funeral-Home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs 66012.
