To the editor:
Although I was extremely flattered by your kind words, I feel I must set the record straight.
You only need to step onto KU's magnificent campus and see our wonderful student body to know the university has had a highly successful recruiting program for some time. It is due to the combined efforts of all the university alumni, faculty, staff, schools and departments particularly the Office of Admissions and Scholarships, New Student Orientation, Freshman/ Sophomore Advising Center, Honors Program, the Division of Student Affairs, (to only name a few), under the leadership of the chancellor's and provost's offices that this successful recruiting has taken place.
To list all the names would not be possible, but it is of paramount concern to me that everyone know that Kansas University is a united institution, and it is the total group effort, not any individual effort, that makes it so uniquely successful.
