Huckabay Hole-in-One: Jack Huckabay of Topeka used a three-wood to ace the par-three, 167-yard No. 11 hole last Thursday at Alvamar Country Club. Witnesses were Dick Barton, Mike Reeves and Wayne Postoak.
Heitzman Record: Paul Heitzman of Eudora set an Oklahoma record for the 70-74 age group in the Miracle Miles 5K last Saturday in Tulsa. Heitzman was clocked in 20:06. The old record of 20:30 was set in 1998 by Jack Gentry of Rogers, Ark. This was Heitzman's first race as a 70-year-old.

Baldwin Mat Qualifiers: Gabe Mason, Kevin Callahan and Kyle Flory of the Baldwin Wrestling Club earned gold medals at the sub-district tournament last Saturday at Holton. Seconds went to Paul Halford, Joe Brown and Adam Halford while Chase Abel, Nathan Deel and Peru Radnaabazar picked up thirds. Also qualifying for state were fourth-place finishers Ethan Hebenstreit and Derrick Whalen.
KU Bowler Rolls 300: Marc D'Errico, a member of Kansas University's men's bowling team, rolled a 300 game last week at Royal Crest Lanes. D'Errico is a freshman from Rochester, N.Y.
Force Ties in Title Tilt: Kaw Valley Force U-12 girls premier soccer tied Pillsbury Doughgirls, 3-3, in the league championship game last Saturday. Abby Vestal had two goals and Logan Keasling one for KVF.
Flames Seventh First: Lawrence Flames seventh grade girls basketball team won the Gardner Invitational last weekend and finished second in the eighth-grade division. Team members are Drew Huff, Megan Johnson, Michelle DeLuna, Missy Vinyard, Linsey Lawrence and Sydney Wilson.
LGA Invitational: More than 110 gymnasts from all over Kansas are expected to participate in the Lawrence Gymnastics Academy Invitational this weekend. Boys competition will begin at 2:15 p.m. Saturday with girls sessions set for 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday. LGA is located at 4930 Legends Dr.
Bregman Gold Medalist: Scott Bregman of Lawrence won the Class 4 all-around in the plus-12 age division at the Springfield, Mo., Invitational gymnastics meet last weekend. Bregman won individual titles in floor exercise and the high bar.
Gymnastics Gold Medalists: Camille Fittell and Cortney Richmond of Kansas School of Gymnastics won the all-around in their age groups at the Jayhawk Invitational last Saturday at Robinson Center. Second places were earned by Jaime Bennett and Stephanie Brown. Thirds went to Erin Mayer, Madeline Wilson and Myriah Pippert.
Hoopsters Fifth: The Lawrence Hoopsters fifth-grade basketball team took second place at the third annual Osawatomie Invitational. Members of the team are Jeremy Bedeau, Karl Buche, Kenny Flanders, Greg Glatz, Cameron Hartford, Andrew Heck, Josh Hershell, Kaley Lane, Sean Wickliffe and Justin Ziegler. Coaches are Dann Buche and Kevin Wickliffe.
Senior Golf: The Orchards Golf Course Senior Men's League will start play on April 3 and run through Oct. 30. The organizational meeting will take place at 9 a.m. March 23 at Drury Place at Alvamar, 1510 St. Andrews. Members over age 60 may sign up.
