Manhattan Services for Rose Mary Spencer, 102, Manhattan, were Tuesday at Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel, Manhattan. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery, Manhattan.
Mrs. Spencer died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at Wharton Manor Nursing Home, Manhattan.
She was born Nov. 27, 1898, in Wilsey, the daughter of Christian and Anna (Weber) Tischhauser. She earned a bachelor's of science degree from Kansas State University, and had lived in Manhattan for 55 years.
Mrs. Spencer was a homemaker and had owned and operated several rental properties. She was a member of Westview Community Church, Manhattan.
She married Harold Crane Spencer on Aug. 28, 1928, in Baldwin. He died Oct. 29, 1947.
Survivors include a son, Wayne E. Spencer, Topeka; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A son, Harold Robert Spencer, died in 1989.
The family suggests memorials to Vacation Bible School Fund at Westview Community Church, sent in care of the funeral home, 1616 Poyntz Ave., Manhattan 66502.
