Suns' Kidd agrees to undergo counseling
Phoenix Suns guard Jason Kidd agreed Tuesday to undergo domestic violence and anger counseling for at least six months, pay a $200 fine and not commit any crime for one year.
In return, officials will not prosecute Kidd on domestic violence assault charges, Paradise Valley town attorney Andrew Miller said.
Kidd was arrested Jan. 18 after his wife, Joumana, told authorities he slapped her in their home during an argument about feeding their 2-year-old son.
Kidd recently apologized to Suns fans and told them such an incident would never happen again.
Kidd also revealed during a postgame television interview Sunday that his wife is pregnant. He and his wife have reunited and are undergoing counseling. If Kidd violates the agreement, Miller said he will be prosecuted for assault.

"They stunk tonight," said O'Neal, who is averaging 27.7 points per game and is the NBA's second-leading rebounder. "If they want to take the money, they can take it double. Money doesn't rule me."
