Free State High senior Katie Rhodes, the top scorer in the city at 14.1 points per game, has been selected to the all-Sunflower League girls basketball team.
Free State seniors Joyia Chadwick and Jackie Dubois were second-team selections. Lawrence High junior Mandy Amyx also was a second-team pick.
Three Firebird seniors Kristin Bock, Christina Neighbors and Lauren Wilkinson received honorable mention. Lawrence's Leigh DeBiasse and Emily Schwartz also received honorable mention.
Shawnee Mission North's Maralene Zwarich and Olathe East's Kari Saving were named co-players of the year.
