The county appraiser's latest assessments of all Douglas County properties are available on the Web.
Property owners can find out how their real estate value stacks up against the neighbors' by going to the Hometown real estate Web site at www.hometown.lawrence.com.
The property values section of the site has been updated to include the latest valuations recently sent to property owners by the Douglas County Appraiser's office.
The database is searchable by an owner's name, address, or by several addresses at once.
The search returns the 2001 valuation and the 2000 valuations for comparison.
Hometown is a real estate site created by World Online, a division of The World Company, which also owns the Journal-World and Sunflower Cablevision.
Hometown is updated each weekday with new information from the Lawrence Multiple Listing Service, provided by the Lawrence Board of Realtors.
