The Chicago-based All-America Rose Selections organization has named three new varieties of rose as its AARS winners for 2001. They will be available for the first time this spring.

The winners are chosen after two years of evaluation in 25 test gardens throughout the country.

Glowing Peace, right, is similar in form full and lots of petals as its famous grandparent. It is orange with yellow tinges.

Sun Sprinkles is a miniature rose the bush grows to just 24 inches. But the bright yellow flowers are quite big for a miniature: 2 inches across.

The third winner is Marmalade Skies, a floribunda with plenty of tangerine coral flowers and a near-continuous bloom.
