Graveside services for Cecil Rogers, 86, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Rogers died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Midland Hospice, Topeka.
He was born Feb. 21, 1915, in the Key West Township in Coffee County, the son of Jesse and Fannie (Razor) Rogers. He attended schools in Lebo.
Mr. Rogers had been a manager at Coles IGA and had worked at all three Rusty's IGA locations. He was a member of Eagles REACT and attended Lawrence Heights Christian Church.
He married Alice VanGalder in Topeka. They later divorced. He married Martha Pearl Crawford on Sept. 27, 1968, in Lawrence. She died Jan. 27, 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Rogeres, Oshkosh, Neb.; a son, Bud Rogers, Westminster, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Charlotte Lynch, Lawrence, and Evelyn Harris, Westville, Okla.; a stepson, David Curtiss, Lawrence; his ex-wife, Alice Berrymen, Ogallala, Neb.; four grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to the Eagles cancer fund, sent in care of the mortuary.
