Arnold for governor?

Is muscle-bound Hollywood action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger going to run for governor of California?

A day after saying Schwarzenegger wouldn't try next year for the office held by Democratic Gov. Gray Davis, publicist Jill Eisenstadt said Wednesday her client's mind "is not made up," and that Schwarzenegger will decide in the next couple of months.

Tuesday, Eisenstadt said the "timing's not right" for the action star, explaining that Schwarzenegger had family and film obligations preventing him from running for public office next year.

"I've thought about it many times because I love politics," Schwarzenegger said then. "I get such great satisfaction out of helping people."

"Mother and son are resting comfortably," McClure said.

It was the first child for the Emmy-winning Manheim, who turned 40 Thursday. The unmarried actress has never identified the father.

Whitney beats marijuana charge

A judge has dismissed a marijuana possession charge against singer Whitney Houston, leaving her with a clean record in Hawaii, prosecutors said. District Judge Joseph Florendo Jr. dismissed the petty misdemeanor marijuana possession charge Monday after a substance abuse assessment was filed on Houston's behalf, said Deputy Prosecutor Melvin Fujino.

Houston's bag was seized at the Keahole-Kona Airport on Jan. 11, 2000. Fujino and Houston's attorneys stipulated in court in November that the bag contained less than half an ounce of marijuana in two plastic baggies and three partially smoked marijuana cigarettes.

An exotic dancer is suing Sylvester Stallone, claiming the "Rocky" star sexually assaulted her at a gym last year. Stallone attorney Marty Singer said Wednesday that the allegation by Margie Carr in the California Superior Court lawsuit "is completely fictional." The civil lawsuit, filed Feb. 28, seeks unspecified damages for assault. "My client completely denies the claim," Singer said.
