Fort Myers, Fla. Jermaine Dye went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored Thursday to lead the Kansas City Royals over the Minnesota Twins, 7-5.
Jon Nunnally drove in three runs, two on a double off the wall in right-center field in the fourth inning.
Jay Canizaro had a triple and scored three runs for the Twins, who wasted a 3-1 lead.
Corey Koskie drove in two runs and Jacque Jones went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
Mike MacDougal, the second of five Kansas City pitchers, won despite allowing two runs and four hits in two innings.
Losing pitcher Danny Mota allowed four runs, two hits and three walked in 11/3 innings.
