Services for Robert M. Burlingame, 68, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Burlingame died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
He was born Aug. 22, 1932, in Becker County, Minn., the son of Homer J. and Gladys (Schmaus) Burlingame. He graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1953 and Watchmaker's Trade School, Minneapolis, Minn., in 1954. He moved to Kansas from Minnesota in 1967 and moved to Lawrence in 1984.
Mr. Burlingame was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, a board member of Independence Inc., and a volunteer at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He and his wife, Verlie, were married Sept. 18, 1958, in Dickinson, N.D. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters, Roberta King, Leawood, Jacqueline Eckert, Hutchinson, and Lucinda Powell, Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Jay, Overland Park; six brothers; four sisters; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Independence Inc., sent in care of the mortuary.
