Tonganoxie — Services for Jack W. Whitford, 83, Tonganoxie, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Cremation will follow services.
Mr. Whitford died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Brandon Woods Health Center, Lawrence.
He was born July 11, 1917, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Robert and Amy (Fessler) Whitford.
Mr. Whitford owned Business Advertising Inc., Tonganoxie, from 1957 to 1999. He was a member of West Haven Baptist Church, Tonganoxie, and Gideons International and Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship, Kansas City, Mo.
He married Louise Bedsaul on Oct. 3, 1959, in Kansas City, Mo. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include four sons, John, Lee's Summit, Mo., Chester, Greenwood, Mo., Richard, Excelsior Springs, Mo., and David, Olathe; a daughter, Shirley Boone, Houston; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
