Eudora — Graveside services for Dale Alonzo Swisher, 72, Eudora, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Eudora Cemetery.
Mr. Swisher died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Eudora Nursing Center.
He was born Aug. 27, 1928, in Leavenworth County, the son of Alonzo and Ruth (Harris) Swisher.
Mr. Swisher served in the U.S. Army during World War II and in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Great Northern, Union Pacific and Katy Railroad for seven years and then worked for the labor union out of Kansas City, Kan., for 10 years.
Survivors include two sons, David, Lawrence, and Darrell, Eudora; a daughter, Dala Zinober, Palm Harbor, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
