The Kansas women's basketball team advanced to the second round of the Big 12 Tournament with this afternoon's victory over Oklahoma State. KU's senior leaders--Jaclyn Johnson, Jennifer Jackson and Brooke Reves--led the way as usual, scoring 49 of the Jayhawks' 66 points. Today, Kansas played like they did not want their season to end.

After a low-scoring but very close first half, KU took a 28-26 lead into the lockers. The second half saw the Jayhawks take complete control. Some late three-point shots by OSU made the game seem closer than it really was.

Jennifer Jackson scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds. On the sixteenth of her 36 minutes she became KU's all-time minutes played leader. Jaclyn Johnson scored 18 points while grabbing 7 rebounds. Brooke Reves added 12 points and nine boards. As a team, Kansas hit 15 of 18 free throws.

Next up for the Jayhawks: tomorrow at noon against the top-seeded Oklahoma Sooners.
