Giorgio-Himmelberg

Stephanie Giorgio and Charles Patrick Himmelberg, both of New York City, announce their engagement.

Stephanie is the daughter of Michael and Geri Giorgio, Morristown, N.J. Charles is the son of Charles John and Mary Pat Himmelberg, Lawrence.

The future bride graduated from Morristown High School in 1989. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1993. She is studying music composition at Columbia University in New York.

The future groom graduated from Lawrence High School in 1981. He received a bachelor's degree from Kansas University in 1985, and a Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University, Evanstown, Ill., in 1990. He is an associate professor of finance and economics at Columbia University in New York City.

The couple plans a June 9 wedding at the Church of Notre Dame in New York City.

Tomc-Himmelberg

Kristen Ann Tomc and Patrick William Himmelberg, both of Overland Park, announce their engagement.

Kristen is the daughter of Franklin Tomc, Shawnee, and the late Carol Tomc. Patrick is the son of Charles and Mary Himmelberg, Lawrence.

The future bride graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Overland Park, in 1991. She received a bachelor's degree in speech-language hearing from Kansas University in 1995, and a master's degree in communication disorders from Southeast Missouri State University in 1997. She is a speech-language pathologist with Health Facilities Rehab Services in Kansas City.

The future groom graduated from Lawrence High School in 1990. He received a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from KU in 1995, and a master's degree in urban planning and design in 1997. He is an RF Engineer for Sprint PCS in Overland Park.

The couple plans a May 4 wedding at Church of the Ascension in Overland Park.

Carstedt-Meseraull

Ed and Carolyn Carstedt, Moran, announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Carstedt, to Doug Meseraull, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a graduate of Moran High School and Pittsburg State University. She is employed by Kaw Valley Center, Lawrence.

The future groom is the son of Steven and Helen Meseraull, Lawrence. He is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Pittsburg State University Technical School. He is employed by Superior Electric, Lawrence.

The couple plan an April 7 wedding at Indian Hills Church of God, Lawrence.

Schmidt-Berry

Jim and Marilyn Schmidt, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Shae Schmidt to Daniel Lee Berry, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a 1994 graduate of Lawrence High School. She also received a degree from Johnson County Community College. She is a paramedic with Johnson County Medical Action.

The future groom is the son of James and Joyce Berry, Lawrence. He is a 1993 graduate of Lawrence High School and is employed by KU Credit Union as a mortgage and consumer lending specialist.

The couple plans an April 28 wedding at First Christian Church of Lawrence.

Willauer-Harris

Stephanie Willauer, Lawrence, and Kenneth Harris, Saco, Maine, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Dick Willauer, Augusta, Maine, and Dorothy and Michael Devlin, Overbrook. She is a 1990 graduate of Lawrence High School and received a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Southern Maine in 1999. She is employed as an account coordinator at Callahan Creek Advertising in Lawrence.

Kenneth is the son of Bill and Dixie Harris, Dayton, Maine, and Joan and Ralph Harris, Lyman, Maine. The future groom graduated in 1990 from Thorton Academy, Saco, Maine, and in 1994 from the University of Maine with a bachelor's degree in English. He is employed as a typesetter with Allen Press in Lawrence.

The couple plan a 2002 wedding on the coast of Maine.
