— Graveside memorial services for Juanita F. Allison, 80, Ottawa, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mrs. Allison died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 23, 1920, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Elvis and Jessie (Lee) Allison. She grew up and attended schools in the Kansas City area and then attended Kansas Vocational Technical School, Topeka. She moved to Ottawa in the early 1970s from California.

Mrs. Allison worked in Kiser Ship Yards in the state of Washington during World War II. She retired from King Radio in 1984.

She was active in Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 5901, where she was past president and community services chairperson.

She married Minor Grey on Nov. 11, 1952, in Los Angeles. He died in 1959.

Survivors include a brother, Joe Wakefield, Ottawa; and two sisters, Carrie Logan, Lawrence, and Mary Carson, Burnsville, Minn.

The family suggests memorials to V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 5901, sent in care of Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, P.O. Box 14, Ottawa 66067.
