Winchester Services for Nellie Mae Dobbs, 88, Cummings, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Burial will be in Winchester-Wise Cemetery, Winchester.
Mrs. Dobbs died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Village Villa Nursing Center, Nortonville.
She was born March 23, 1913, in Clinton, Mo., the daughter of Thomas and Jenny (Doral) Robertson. She moved to Nortonville in 1998 from Atchison, where she had lived 40 years.
Mrs. Dobbs was a nurse's aide in the obstetrics ward at Atchison Hospital for more than 20 years before retiring in 1975. She was a member of Carol Baptist Church and V.F.W. Auxiliary Unit No. 1175, both of Atchison.
She married Wilson S. "Red" Dobbs on Sept. 18, 1931, in Topeka. He died on March 14, 2000.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Dobbs, New Braunfels, Tex., Allen Dobbs, Hacket, Ark., Wilson "Sonny" Dobbs, Grants, N.M., and Larry "Joe" Dobbs, Leavenworth; three daughters, Alice Ray, Cheney, Nancy Lange, Cummings, and Linda Bindel, Vassar; 29 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Martin Dobbs, died in September 1993.
Friends may call after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
