Services for John William Hamilton, 90, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Hamilton died Monday, June 4, 2001, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.
He was born July 24, 1910, in Hennessy, Okla., the son of John George and Zula (Muldrov) Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton was a presser at New York Cleaners for many years. He retired in 1972 and worked as a bailiff from 1973 to 1994. He had received the Douglas County Bar Assn.'s Liberty Bell Award.
He married Della Jean Vann Jan. 22, 1940, in Lawrence. She died May 25, 1995.
Survivors include a son, John Jr., Topeka; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
