Sedalia, Mo. A Kansas City man has been arrested in the slaying of a Sedalia man whose body was found two weeks ago.
Rodney Gene Potts, 43, was charged Friday with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the shooting death of Richard T. Buckner, 23. Potts was being held on $1 million bond.
Sedalia police Commander Jim Gaertner said authorities believed at least one other person was involved in the shooting.
Police said Buckner was found dead in his car July 15, with a single bullet wound in his upper abdomen. Investigators said at least a dozen bullets had hit the car.
Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from a long-running feud between the relatives of Potts and Buckner.
