Columbus, Kan. Services for Mary Adele McDonald, 80, Lakewood, Colo., were Thursday at Park Cemetery, Columbus.
Mrs. McDonald died Saturday, July 21, 2001, at her home.
She was born April 26, 1921, in Columbus, the daughter of Byron and Anna (Dawson) Winkler. She attended grammar school in the Columbus school system. She graduated from Cherokee County Community High School in 1938. She attended Pittsburg State University for one year.
Mrs. McDonald was a legal secretary. She worked for First National Bank of Columbus and served in Cherokee County offices and on the board of education.
In 1953, she moved to Lawrence, where she worked for Mitchell-Stephens Real Estate.
She later moved to Lakewood, Colo.
Mrs. McDonald was a member of First Christian Church, Business and Professional Women's Club and a life member of Beta Sigma Phi.
She married James T. McDonald on Sept. 1, 1945, in Columbus. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a sister, Leta Jean Dill, Columbus.
