Mr. King died Monday, July 23, 2001, at his home.
He was born Nov. 10, 1955, in Leavenworth, the son of Lowell D. and Frances (Jaster) King.
Mr. King was a bookkeeper and accountant for businesses in Lawrence and Leavenworth. He had worked as a disc jockey in Florida and Kansas. He was working on a bachelor's degree in music at Kansas University.
Survivors include his father, Lowell D., Winchester; his mother and stepfather, Frances and Wallace "Gene" Ala, Leavenworth; two brothers, Randy and Wayne, both of Leavenworth; two stepbrothers, Charles Ala, Houston, and Wally Ala, New Mexico; a stepsister, Eva Voss, Leavenworth; and paternal grandmother Georgia Christensen, Iowa.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
