A 48-year-old woman was arrested shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday on suspicion of fleeing an accident scene that left two cars damaged, Lawrence Police said.
An accident report hadn't been completed Thursday, but police said witnesses told them a 1997 Nissan Sentra struck two cars in the area of 31st and Louisiana streets. They said the driver did not stop. No one was injured, police said.
Officers traced the car to a mobile home in the 1900 block of West 31st Street, police said. The woman was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license, along with leaving the scene of an accident.
Charges are pending. She was later released without bond, a jail official said.
