Services for Lloyd Wayne Green, 43, McLouth, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
Mr. Green was found dead July 9, 2001, at a rural McLouth residence and is believed to have died Oct. 4, 1999.
He was born June 8, 1956, in Lawrence, the son of James Lloyd and Norma Jean (Rickman) Green. He lived in the McLouth area on and off for several years. He attended McLouth public schools and received his diploma in 1975.
As a mechanic and a welder, Mr. Green worked for National Truck Leasing Company in Kansas City, Kan. and for Midway Ford Company in Kansas City, Mo. He also worked for Jake Spears Contract Delivery Service in Valley Falls on the U.S. mail route from Kansas City to Valley Falls.
Mr. Green served in the U.S. Navy from Aug. 16 to Sept. 16, 1974, and the U.S. Air Force from April 11, 1979, to Aug. 11, 1981. He was honorably discharged from both.
He is survived by his parents, McLouth; two sons, Jason L., Topeka, and Christopher L., Ohio; and two granddaughters.
The Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa is in charge of arrangements.
