Former Jayhawk an All-Star

— Two players with Kansas connections Los Angeles Sparks guard Tamecka Dixon and Portland guard Jackie Stiles have been selected as reserves for the West team in Monday's WNBA All-Star game at Orlando, Fla.

The game will be televised by ESPN at 7 p.m.

Dixon played at Kansas from 1994 to 1997. She was the Big Eight player of the year in 1996 and was Big 12 player of the year in 1997.

Stiles, a Claflin native, is one of the WNBA's top rookies. She led Southwest Missouri State to the Final Four last spring.
