7-12 Student Poems/Beals

July 12, 2001

On ribbons of smoke,

Foreboding forests emerge

Through fading fog.

Misled minds return

To stubbornly stomp

The beaten paths

With plodding thought.

Ivory zephyrs

Drape vaporous veils

Over foreboding forests,

Concealing concern.

-- by Adam Beals, inspired by Casper David Friedrich's "Traveler Looking over a Sea of Fog"
