KANSAS CITY, KAN. The Lawrence Raiders committed three first-inning errors leading to two unearned runs and fell to Kansas City Post 83, 3-0, on Tuesday at Eisenhower Field.
"It was really a well-pitched game," Raiders coach Carl Brooks said. "We kicked it around in the first inning, but both teams played well. We had some opportunities. We had a couple of guys on third with two outs, but we couldn't get the hit we needed to get them in."
Derek Bailey went 2-for-3 for the Raiders (20-14). Lawrence had five hits, while the Dottes had six.
The Raiders will travel to Paola on Friday.
