Services for Jeffrey Allen Wrightsman, 37, Kansas City, Kan., will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery< Lawrence.

Mr. Wrightsman died Saturday, July 7, 2001, in a watercraft accident on a pond in Kansas City, Mo.

He was born Oct. 25, 1963, in Lawrence, the son of Dayrl Emmett and Helen Naomi (Miller) Wrightsman. He attended Linwood schools and Overland Park Christian School. He worked for Lacy Steel, Lawrence, as a welder, and he worked at The Landing, Kansas City, Kan. For the past 10 years he worked for Arch Aluminum & Glass Co. He also worked for UPS.

He married Shawntale Hanley. She survives of Kansas City, Kan.

Other survivors include a son, Sheldon, Kansas City, Kan.; his parents, Linwood; a brother, Gregory, Sayre, Pa.; and a sister, Darla Scott, Osawatomie.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to the Sheldon Allen Wrightsman Education Fund, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 1260, 66044.
