Raymond Chatham, director of the organization's disaster office, said that residents and businesses affected by the storms and flooding in Leavenworth County still have until Aug. 27 to apply for assistance at the SBA Disaster Loan Workshop, Easton City Hall, 300 W. Riley. The deadline to apply for economic injury is March 26, 2002.
The SBA makes low-interest loans to repair homes, replace personal property and restore businesses damaged or destroyed by disasters. The loans cover uninsured and underinsured disaster losses.
Applications may be returned to the SBA at either the Disaster Loan Workshop or by mail to U.S. Small Business Administration, 4400 Amon Carter Blvd. Suite 102, Fort Worth, Tex. 76155.
